Mixed Scheme Phonics: Phase 3

Levelled by Phases rather than book bands, the Mixed Scheme Phonics Phases collections for EYFS and KS1 provide books from a variety of publishers matched to phonic phases. Each collection will come with a handy storage box with Phase labels provided. To ensure books can be easily identified and put back into the correct reading boxes, individual phase book labels are included. All books are fitted with free protective jackets to protect and preserve your investment by extending their life in school.

The Mixed Phonics Box for Phase 3 contains books from publishing experts Collins, Oxford, Rising Stars and Ransom and includes titles cherry-picked from Big Cat Phonics for Letters and Sounds, Reading Planet Rocket Phonics, Reading Stars Phonics and Oxford Reading Tree's Floppy's Phonics. The selection of 35 fully decodable reading books are aligned to Phase 3 of Letters and Sounds (book band levels Red and Yellow) where the emphasis is to teach another 25 graphemes, most of them comprising two letters (e.g. oa), as well as continue to practise CVC blending, simple two-syllable words and captions. Children will also be introduced to more high frequency and tricky words.
