Big Cat Phonics for Letters & Sounds: Orange (Phase 5)

Big Cat for Letters and Sounds is a series of expertly written books all of which are fully aligned to the Phases of Letters and Sounds and book banded from Lilac to Turquoise. Orange level books (Phase 5 Letters and Sounds) continue to introduce more alternative spellings with common digraphs and trigraphs such as  /j/ dge, ge (Strange Bridges) /ch/ tch, /f/ ph, /w/ wh, /s/ se, and /z/ se, Common exceptions words are used in line with Phase 5 of Letters and Sounds. Reading notes, including focus phonemes and common exception word lists, help parents reading at home and allow children to practise new words or sounds before each reading session.
