Danny Pearson's imaginative and humorous new series, Strange Town, is now available!

This fantastic series consisting of eight titles, written specifically for reluctant readers, will captivate and engage 9-12 year olds who have a lower reading age of 7-8. With no more than 1,600 words and the look and feel of a real book, these colourful titles will have your pupils asking for the next one before they have finished the last one!

The series follows the bizarre adventures of Logan, Eva and Otis, Logan's dog, whom together form The Strange Town Squad, as they investigate the strange things that happen in their town, Strange Town. All sorts of weird things happen here, residents are hypnotised into buying junk from a local shop, aliens are in the rubbish bins, everyone is frozen in time during a football match and does Thor really live next door?

The aim of this series is to encourage pupils who, for whatever reason, have switched off from reading. The creative storylines coupled with superb full colour illustrations from Steve Beckett, guarantee to attract reluctant readers' attention and reward them for their efforts.

Each title features a general introduction at the start of the book to ensure it can be read as a standalone novel, a page to introduce the characters and a full colour map at the back to help readers visualise the world of Strange Town.

To celebrate the launch of this fantastically funny series, we are giving you the chance to win the full series SIGNED by both the author, Danny Pearson and the illustrator, Steve Beckett. Competition Now Closed.
