Busy Ant Maths Problem Solving and Reasoning Evaluation Pack
This is a handy evaluation pack for teachers considering Busy Ant Maths Problem Solving and Reasoning for their school. This item will be invoiced to school in the usual way - upon a Sale or Return basis. Invoices are cancelled upon return of mint condition items. Evaluation period is 14 days.
The books are designed to be completed by the pupil. Answers are available on the Collins website. A useful tool for teachers as evidence and to assess children’s approach to problem solving and reasoning.
Busy Ant Pupil Books 1-6 consists of three different types of mathematical problem solving challenges:
- Solving mathematical problems - This involves pupils solving problems 'within’ mathematics itself, recognising patterns and relationships, making conjectures and generalisations, and explaining and justifying conclusions.
- Reasoning mathematically - This involves pupils using logical thinking to solve problems, focusing on making conjectures and generalisations, and explaining and justifying conclusions using appropriate language
- Using & applying mathematics in real-world contexts - This involves pupils engaging in challenges that require them to use and apply their mathematical knowledge and skills in open-ended, real-world contexts.
