The Magic Belt is for pupils who are reading CVC words and now need to focus on CVCC / CCVCC words, adjacent consonants (sh, wh, ng, le, ck, qu, ch, tch) and consonant digraphs and suffixes –ed and -ing. In each book readers are taken on a quest with Zak to find one of ten magical gems to cure his sick grandfather.
