Challenging KS1 and KS2 Books for Super Confident Readers
Our newest collection is Reading for Transition in Year 6. It gets very difficult at this point to select spot on books for this reading level. The children are quite different in Year 6 and Year 7 in terms of maturity, even though they may be reading at a similar level, as is often the case with more able readers. Year 6 readers may begin exploring books better suited for KS3, which are not always appropriate for a primary school library and may not align with what all parents would want their children to read. Much time and consideration went into creating this collection. Many books were rejected for a variety of reasons, but we are proud to present this carefully curated collection of outstanding titles. These books challenge Year 6 readers with sophisticated themes, encouraging them to explore deeper ideas and preparing them for the transition to secondary school.
