ELS: Essential Blending Books: Phase 2 Class Pack

This pack contains 6 copies of each of the five Essential Blending Books developed to help children blend and practice the GPC’s taught at Phase 2 of the Knowledge Trust’s validated phonics programme, Essential Letters and Sounds (ELS). These simple but useful books reinforce learning in Reception weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 (Week 5 is a Review week).

Children can practice the GPC’s aloud, blend them to make a word and check if they are correct by turning the page to see a graphic representation.  At the end of book there are sentences to practice harder to read and spell words (HRSW’s).

Essential Letters and Sounds follows the progression of Letters and Sounds (2007).
