Maverick Early Readers

Maverick Early Readers are highly illustrated and written by a team of talented authors to ensure children's progress in reading and visual literacy. The earlier bands are written using the phonemes and graphemes covered in Letters and Sounds (2007) phases. Vocabulary is natural English, focusing on enjoyable stories that will ignite pupils' curiosity and encourage a love of reading. Pink to Blue books have a clear structure read naturally while using phonic phases and Green to Purple books include a simple quiz to help pupils with their comprehension. Short chapters are introduced at Gold and White Level.
